Types of Grief
Did you know there are different types of grief? Do you know which one you are experiencing? You may have more than one. Read below to learn more about the different types.
Delayed Grief
We understand that sometimes grief doesn't hit you right away. It can take weeks, months, or even years to process a loss. Delayed grief can be overwhelming and isolating, especially if those around you don't understand what you're going through. We are here to support you through this difficult time.
Disenfranchised Grief
At Mendee Lee Coaching, we understand that grief is not always something that can be easily recognized or shared. Disenfranchised grief refers to types of loss that are not socially recognized or validated, making it difficult for individuals to feel supported or even acknowledge their grief. As a coach, I strive to help individuals navigate through any type of grief they may be experiencing, and provide a supportive environment to help them work through their emotions.
Ambiguous Grief
At Mendee Lee Coaching, we provide a safe space to help those experiencing ambiguous grief. This type of grief is particularly challenging because it occurs when there is no clear closure, such as when someone goes missing or when a loved one has an incurable illness. We understand that there's no ‘right’ way to grieve, and our goal is to help you find the tools to cope with and manage your emotions.
Secondary Losses
At Mendee Lee Coaching, we know that grief can be a difficult and overwhelming experience. We're here to provide you with the tools and support you need to move forward and find meaning in your life again. We specialize in helping individuals cope with the many secondary losses that come with grief – whether it's lost relationships, financial security, or spiritual grounding. Our goal is to help you become more resilient and find hope in the midst of your pain.
